Dr. David Wong

David Wong, DDS, MDS, is a board-certified periodontist practicing at Trinity Dental Care in Bedford, Texas. 

Dr. Wong was raised in Lewisville, Texas, and is a graduate of Lewisville High School. He graduated with honors from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree and a minor. Dr. Wong earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, and worked as a general dentist in private practice. 

Dr. Wong went on to complete three more years of specialty training in a surgical residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, where he earned his periodontal specialty certificate and a master's in dental science for his thesis research. He received advanced training in periodontal surgery/therapy, implant dentistry, treatment of full-mouth rehabilitation cases, and intravenous sedation to help keep patients comfortable. While in Memphis, Dr. Wong had the opportunity to work at the Memphis VA Hospital, treating medically compromised patients and training in intravenous sedation. 

Additionally, Dr. Wong teaches as a part-time faculty member at the university level. Having worked as a general dentist as well, he understands treatment from both restorative and surgical perspectives, helping patients with more complex cases.

Dr. Wong is a board-certified specialist in periodontology and implant surgery, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He is a member of and active in various organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontics, the Southwest Society of Periodontics, the Texas Dental Association, the North Texas Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. He has written and published articles on guided bone regeneration membranes and soft tissue graft techniques.

A traumatic dental accident left him with multiple periodontal surgeries at a young age. Dr. Wong understands and appreciates the positive impact it has. He still carries this same passion and motivation to help patients heal through their need for periodontal therapy. This passion led Dr. Wong to put patient care first. He is trained in the most advanced techniques in periodontics and continues to develop new skills. Above all, he wants to ensure all his patients receive the attention and care they most deserve.
